Being named as a UNESCO site, the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark comprises of 2 areas in Hong Kong: the Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region and Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region. The geopark showcases the important geological themes of igneous rocks and sedimentary rocks, which covers around 50 square metres of area.
For those who wish to learn more about the geopark, there are guided tours conducted in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Be prepared to spend one fruitful day at the park.
